Solo 1: Danny

As I am walking back to the hanger, I hear that Dolittle is looking for me, and I go to his office right away, instead of the barracks as I had planned. He looks up at me as soon as I walk in.* "Orders to go to Pearl Harbor, Walker." *he tells me and I nod, acknowledging what he has just said.*

"Yes sir... I will be ready to leave by tomorrow night." *I tell him, and then he dismisses me and I head for the barracks. The guys great me as soon as get back and then they see Rafe and they all fall silent. Rafe's face is clouded and he looks worried.*

"I....Got my orders to go to Europe. To fight the Germans."

*He tells me and I feel my heart start to pound. Many of the men who went off to fight Hitler, never came back. And now there was news that Japan had attacked China. One of our much needed allies and had managed to breach the coast. Now there was Japanese occupation there in China, and every day, there were new tales of terror from both. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, before placing my hand on Rafe's shoulder. I was scared, though I'd never admit it.* "You be careful over there Rafe. Get back here, for me... and for these men." *I tell him, waving my hand around at all the other men in the barrack room with us.

"We all need you here in one piece. You're a leader. Our leader."

*Rafe nods again and closes his own eyes.*

"Hey... you remember that pretty nurse down there at the vision test?"

*He asks me and I laugh.* "Yes I do, I saw her first. Get your own." *I tease him and shake my head.* "Oh... I asked her to come with us all tomorrow. You know out to the club. Thought it would be a nice send off for you. Boost of morale." *I tell him, as we go to get ready for the night.*

"Good.... Hopefully she'll bring some friends."
